NJIC Week #2 @ Garret Mountain / September 20, 2017

Boys defeat: Ridgefield, Weehawken, and Becton to move their record to 5-0

Girls defeat: Ridgefield, Weehawken, and Becton to move their record to 6-0

As I mentioned at the team meeting:

  • Marcos – definitely the boys performance of the day. He has firmly established himself as a varsity caliber athlete in only a few short weeks. He also did it after having to drop out in last Saturday’s meet. You have to forget your last race and move on – a perfect example of this – congratulations!
  • Girls top tier runners looked like a team today. You went out much better in first mile; and although you all fell off a bit in the latter stages of the race, you were all in the race. This is the way you are going to improve. Your times compared to last week are an improvement, even if they seem the same to you. Darlington Vs. Garret = No comparison. Great job ladies.

We have a lot of work to go yet. Our other members (boys and girls) need to work harder in practice and get the mileage and the reps in. If you want to learn and help us, you have to step up more. May I remind you that when we lose our seniors, it is YOU that has to fill all these holes.
