I am sure that heading captured your attention! That’s right…. the NJIC is going through a realignment. We have one school adding XC (Hawthorne – Colonial Division), another school (Butler / Meadowlands Division) joining the conference, and another school awaiting Board of Education for approval for a new program. School enrollments are changing – including ours – we have gotten a little bit bigger. That being said, it was time for a conference face lift.

What does this mean for us? Actually, quite a bit. It certainly will make our division much more competitive. There may not be such a thing an an “easy meet” with the changes. Butler, Cresskill, New Milford, and Pompton Lakes makes our division look entirely different from the 2017 version.  In all honesty, I welcome the change. It will make all of us better consistently better weekly competition. The benefits will be seen at season’s end.

Here is the list the schools of 2018 XC NJIC Meadowlands Division:

Butler, Cresskill, Hasbrouck Heights, Immaculate Conception (girls only), New Milford, North Arlington, Pompton Lakes, Saddle Brook, Saint Mary, & Secaucus.
