There were a lot of good things that came out of this meet. The biggest being that we have an opportunity to still have every reason to look ahead to our upcoming meets. We have both teams vying for Sectional medals and hoping to advance to the Group Meet; we have an opportunity to perform well next week in the County Championships. We have people in line to go for All-County Honors.
First – a gigantic congratulations to Roshni on her individual NH title! Took the race over from the very start to finish. An impressive run. BUT, not to be outdone, I was very pleased with Twig & Juliet’s races as well. We were missing two of our top five and we still placed 3 runners in the Top 10 of this meet. If we can just glue the parts back together next week, we are going to be a difference maker!
Great race by Shaun and something he should feel quite good about, heading into the county meet. As with the girls, I was extremely happy with our boys team because we hit some great times. This hopefully will give you the added fuel and incentive to look forward to our remaining races. Aman and Suhail showed some big improvement. Couldn’t happen at a better time of the season.
The bottom line is this folks – the season is winding down. The few meets left on the schedule are what we strive for all season. Every day is important, every practice is crucial, you all need to sharpen the focus, motivate each other, and mold yourselves together into ONE UNIT.
PS: I am very proud of all of you. Your success, as well as setbacks, are very much inside of me. I care so much for each of you and never take for granted your efforts, determination, competitiveness, and most of all your loyalty. Other coaches would give anything to have the type of athlete that I have the honor to get each year.
