With great pride, we would like to recognize another
member: Jayden Altamura for earning the
Congressional Award Gold Medal.
Jayden joined Hygiene Project’s Youth Kindness
Institute program when he was in middle school and
completed Secaucus Cares’ Youth Leadership &
Service Learning program when he graduated from
Secaucus High School.
Jayden continued to make us proud by serving others
above and beyond through his personal development
in public service, leadership, exploration and physical
fitness beyond his high school years.
This well-deserved success is a testament to Jayden’s
hard work and dedication to complete all requirements
to earn this outstanding and highest Youth award in the
country. His perseverance has truly paid off!
The Congressional Award Gold Medal is the highest
civilian honor bestowed by the United States Congress
to recognize individuals, institutions, or events that
have significantly impacted American history and
culture. It’s considered Congress’s most distinguished
expression of national appreciation. The medal is
created by the United States Mint and features Nisei
soldiers on the obverse side.

The Hygiene Project is the proud sponsor and validator of
