Younes Abada

Secaucus senior

Younes Abada, shown at the 2021 NIIC Divisional Championships at Garret Mountain

The always competitive Abada will complete his excellent cross-country career after four outstanding years, each one better than the year before if he stays healthy.

Last year, he won four of his 14 races and finished lower than fifth just twice, in his first race of the year and his last, at the State Meet of Champions, where he ran his Holmdel personal best. He won the North Hudson title, was second in the Hudson County, NJIC Meadowlands, NJIC Conference and North 2, Group 1 sectional. He was fifth in Group 1 and could be a championship contender this year.

Secaucus has everyone back from the team that won the North Hudson championship, was second in the North 2, group 1 race and was fourth in Hudson County. Senior co-captain Younes Abada is the clear standout with co-captain Andrew Curry right behind. Seniors Adrian Delos Santos, Krushay Bhavsar, Roger Pragados, Lohitaksh Senkesi, Armann Budhrani, Jorge Rodriguez and Joshua Unsay make the experienced Patriots a dangerous team.
