State Group 1 Championship

There is much to celebrate about the 2021 season – the growth of this team is first and foremost. We improved steadily as the season progressed; evident by the fact that both our boys and girls teams made it to the Group Championships.
Although I am quite sure Haley would have liked to have another week of XC, but her 12th place performance can not be ignored. As I said on the bus, she has been the girl’s front runner for 3 years and has handled all the pressure and expectations that comes with this. We are proud of all her accolades and there is another year to add more!
Younes advances to the Meet of Champions – he becomes the 3rd boy in school history to do so. He has been a top medalist in every meet this team has participated in. He too has another year to attack the record books.
Exciting is the fact that we bring back almost the entire team! Another opportunity to add to the racing experience you gained this season.
Our best wishes to our two seniors – Genna and Kyle. Thank you for being a part of our XC family.
Thank you to our three Captains for their leadership – Haley, Andrew, and Younes. Our thanks to Kyle for serving as our team manager this season. Also- thank you to Mr. Nowak for his contribution to our team picture gallery.
One of the most important things I took notice of was also the bonding and friendships that took place among all of you. It is what high school sports is about.
Claire, Mehek, and I are proud to be your coaches. The 2022 season can’t come quick enough !
