This is advance notification

– if the coaching staff does not feel you are prepared for this meet (safety issues), you have missed practices without valid excuses, you have had poor summer training, or you have missed team time trial, you do not do the independently assigned Runkeeper workouts on 9/4, 9/5, 9/6, and 9/7 – you will NOT be attending the first meet.

This is not necessarily punitive – based on  summer Runkeeper reports and observing captain’s practices thus far, we have some people who just might not be physically prepared for the first meet.

Saturday  9/12 Season Opening Meet – 7am departure to the Annual Mount Invitational in New York

this is a 90 minute trip – bring a pillow for some comfort, have some snacks and water/gator in your back pack. We will also have team water jug. Always have some small amount of cash handy if they have refreshments or there is a local place we can stop after the meet.

“Some people create with words or with music or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, ‘I’ve never seen anyone run like that before.’ It’s more than just a race, it’s style. It’s doing something better than anyone else. It’s being creative.” —Steve Prefontaine
